Our Honey

Raw

Our honey is extracted straight from the frames and placed in storage for future use. People ask us, “is your honey heated” our answer is simple, our honey is warmed to a temperature consistent to what the colony themselves maintain through the production season. This allows for ease of handling and bottling.
Natural

Every ounce of honey we produce and distribute is foraged from a multitude of flora across the entire growing season, which includes spring, summer, and fall. We blend all these flavor profiles together, from the first blooms of Sarvis (Service Berry) and red oak to the last blooming Asters and Goldenrod. This provides a medium to dark amber honey that we are known for. It’s a unique, rich taste, that truly is the best honey we’ve ever tasted!
Heavenly

Like it implies, our honey is heavenly, well...almost. Our apiaries are all located here in the mountains and valleys of, you guessed it - “Almost Heaven, West Virginia”. Our home has always been in West Virginia, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Our Apothecary

We take a holistic approach to our beekeeping and the honey and beeswax-based products we create. As beekeepers, we experience firsthand the natural benefits of what we produce. We believe that when the mind, body, and soul are cared for, life feels more fulfilled and aligned with the purpose God has set before us.
Whether you’re using our solid lotion bars or lip balm, the ultra-moisturizing effects begin the moment they touch your skin. Beeswax works differently than many moisturizers—it naturally seals in moisture, so you don’t have to reapply as often. Our lotion bars absorb quickly without leaving a greasy residue; just warm one between your hands and apply to dry areas. Packaged in a convenient tin, they’re easy to carry wherever you go. Our lip balm follows the same simple philosophy: beeswax, natural oils, and essential oils when scented.
That same care extends to our beard balm, crafted with beeswax, natural oils, and essential oils to keep beards soft, manageable, and well-groomed. Just warm a small amount in your hands and work it through. While we make no claims about individual results, we truly believe that whichever product you choose will leave you feeling and looking your best.
Our Beginning
In 2012 we purchased the small farm that would become “Glory Ridge Farm and Apiary.” Our Christian values and passion for self-sustainability led us to seek out a place of solace, and refuge to raise our two children in a lifestyle that was away from the hustle and bustle of town. Utilizing our Appalachian upbringing and much favor from God we followed His leading.
Nestled in the agriculturally rich Back Creek Valley, near the little town of Glengary, WV and in the shadow of Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area, Glory Ridge is perfectly situated to produce delicious honey with a unique blend of agriculture and forest.
Our farm is a labor of love. We are passionate about sharing our values, successes and mistakes with those that are curious. Beekeeping started out as a small endeavor that was meant to complement our garden and other livestock. It didn't take long for those first three hives to turn into a thriving part time business.

We unwittingly chose pure Russian queens from the very start. As a result, we have continued to source our queens from some of the country's top breeders of pure Russian Honey bees. Although more challenging, this breed of bee has proven to be highly prolific and produces an abundance of honey.
It is our greatest desire to feed people and to share the love of Jesus. Although imperfect, we strive to be better every day and to serve those around us. We greatly appreciate every purchase made of our products. Every purchase enables us to continue to grow our farm and produce some of the best honey we've ever tasted!
